Indoor Facility Fundraiser

Creating More Baseball Opportunities for the Eden Prairie Community

Eden Prairie Baseball - home of the 2004, 2010 and 2017 State Champions and 2011 American Legion World Series Champions – is partnering with the City of Eden Prairie and our High School & Legion programs to explore building our own indoor facility that will be dedicated solely to Eden Prairie Baseball – providing us a resource in our backyard to develop our current and future players in a way we haven’t been able to in the past!

Check If Your Employer Matches Donations

Many employers have programs that match your charitable donations to 501(c)(3) organizations. If your employer does this, remember to have them match your donation to the EPBA (EIN: 41-1666913). If you’re unsure if your employer matches, here’s a great list to check.

Sponsorships

We also plan to have several types of paid sponsorships for the facility with varying levels of benefits (facility signage, website placement, email blasts, etc.). More to come on this, but please reach out if you have interest in this opportunity as well.

Specialized Skills

Do you own or work for a construction, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or insulation company? If so, we’d be interested in hearing from you on how you may be able to support the construction of the facility and help us lower the cost while keeping as much of the construction local as possible. If you are interested in donating your skills and expertise to the construction process, please reach out to indoor2026@epbaseball.com.

Current Progress

The program is currently hard at work planning for the facility in cooperation with the City of Eden Prairie which has identified a space at Miller Park (see below) in the heart of our baseball activities for roughly a 65’X110’ facility. Below is a rendering of what the facility would look like, including 7 set tunnels (6 hitting and 1 pitching) with flexibility for more less depending on the set-up. Plus all of the netting moves to create open space for baserunning, fielding, throwing, etc. We’re excited about the possibilities and you should be too!

The City is so confident in our progress and plan that they given us the go-ahead to start fundraising for the building as we progress towards a preliminary groundbreaking at our Opening Day celebration in April of 2026 – so get your hard hat a shovels ready! While a lot of work needs to be done to meet that date – we believe it gives us a goal to rally around as an organization and as a baseball community! Ultimately – we want our facility open next fall for that critical offseason of development work that will come in the fall/winter of ’26-27.

Estimated Cost

Our initial estimates of the cost of the facility and the buildout of the interior as well as all the training tools we need to drive our program is expected to cost ~$700,000. We know this is no small ask, but we believe between fundraising, sponsorships and the redeployment of funds currently paid to outside organizations, raising the money is quite achievable!

Facility Use

We plan to use the facility for nearly all of our indoor needs throughout the season and offseason. While we are still working through details of all the uses (and would plan to rollout more offerings over time), the plan is to start with our existing camps & clinics, tryouts, pre-season team practices, in-season practice when the weather isn’t the greatest, membership programs for open cage time, private or semi-private lessons, etc.
