Concessions Manager or Co-Manager 2024

Manager Scenario: The manager oversees all aspects related to the operation of the Concession Stand for EPBA games and tournaments at Miller Park. The manager facilitates efficient customer service at the concession stand near Miller Park Field 1.
Co-Manager Scenario: It is possible for this role to be split and covered by two people; one person leads purchasing and finances while one person managers employees, volunteers and the operation of the stand.

Pay: This is a paid position to be determined based on experience approximately $5,000. If there are co-managers, this pay would be split. If interested, please contact EPBA president Kevin Thompson.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that proper state & local sanitation procedures are followed.
  • Review historical sales to determine product offerings and pricing; confer with fastpitch to align on pricing.
  • Review inventory and sales to purchase all food and non-perishable items
  • Work with vendors to find most efficient method for products to be delivered. This could be from a food distributor, club warehouse (Sam’s/Costco) or online retailer.
  • Review game & tournament schedules to determine appropriate employee &volunteer needs. One paid employee will be at each stand at all times it is open; this employee may be the Concessions Manager
  • Work closely with the volunteer coordinator at EPBA to ensure volunteers are signed up.
  • Record short videos to train concession stand employees to ensure current procedures are followed, food preparation, cash register operation, opening & closing.
  • Review current processes and create appropriate signage for workers to follow.
  • Work closely with EPBA Treasurer in regards to banking needs for operation, consistent cash deposits and retention of receipts.
  • Act as the back-up employee during busy times for concessions mostly tournaments.
  • Prepare monthly status report Board of Directors board meetings regarding operations, maintenance requests, product offering concerns/changes.
  • Work with Concessions Committee for assistance with operations and volunteers.
  • Hours vary by month/week: minimal hours in Jan/Feb with employee recruitment & prep. The stand will be open the following times:
    - April 1 – 30: Stand prep, inventory purchases, employee training
    - May 1– July 31: 2-3 weeknights and 5 tournaments
    - Sep 8 - Oct 13: Fall Ball on Weekends 10am-6pm
