Volunteer Policy

On an annual basis, EBPA will appoint a coordinator that will manage all volunteer activities for parents designated to the 9U-15U travel teams.  As a volunteer-run organization, EPBA needs volunteers to further its fundraising efforts.  EPBA's primary fundraisers are hosting two tournaments and operating concessions.
 

10U - 15U:  Families are required to provide a $450 check at tryouts per travel player as a volunteer hours deposit. Head coaches and EPBBA Board Members are exempt.  The check will be destroyed once your family fulfills its volunteer requirement; otherwise it will be cashed at the end of the fall ball season in late October.  The required volunteer time is 8 hours per player. 

9U:  Families are required to provide a $225 check before uniform pick-up per travel player as a volunteer hours deposit. Head coaches and EPBBA Board Members are exempt.  The check will be destroyed once your family fulfills its volunteer requirement; otherwise it will be cashed at the end of the fall ball season in late October.  The required volunteer time is 4 hours per player

In an effort to increase our concessions profits in 2023, parent volunteers will also be assisting in the concession stand (for tourneys & league games) alongside a paid employee.  With increased concessions profits, our goal is to provide additional off-season training at little cost to families. 

 

Please mark your calendar for the 2023 EPBA Tournaments hosted at Miller Park on May 5-7 (our larger tournament) and June 2-4. 

If you prefer to have your check immediately cashed in lieu of volunteering your time, please note in the memo line of your volunteer check, or venmo @EPBaseballAssoc and comment accordingly with your player’s name.
