Did you know…
The Eden Prairie Baseball Association provides financial assistance to families in need?
Because the EPBA believes that no young baseball player should ever be denied the opportunity to participate in America’s favorite pastime because of temporary family economic problems we provide financial assistance to families in need. Should you need financial assistance in order to participate in the league, please contact the EPBA Treasurer – Mark Sperr at
Travel Fees
The EPBA sponsors a number of traveling teams. The Traveling program is directed to those athletes and families that are dedicated to playing baseball during the summer, above all other elective activities. The Community Leagues are for those players and families that want to play at a competitive level, but may participate in other summer activities. Participating in a traveling team requires significantly more commitment to baseball than playing in the Community League.
The final determination of the number and level of travel teams will be based on registration numbers and the skill level of the players. Final travel team numbers will not be finalized until tryouts are completed.
TRAVEL TEAM FEES will be collected AFTER travel teams are formed this year. Players will have three (3) days, from the time of team selection, to log on to www.epbaseball.com , click on "Registration" and pay their travel fees by credit card or bring a check made out to EPBA to their Head Coach. Uniforms will only be able to be given to those who have paid the travel fee.
Additional fees may be required and collected by Travel teams to cover travel team expenses not covered by the EPBA such as extra tournaments.
The travel try-out fees are non-refundable since it covers the cost of renting the EP Dome for the tryouts. Base fees are generally non-refundable. Refunds of fees will be considered upon request and are granted solely at the discretion of the EPBA board of directors. If a refund is made, a $15 cancellation processing fee will be assessed.
For more information on travel teams, please see the “Travel Team Information” Flyer.
1. Player’s Age: COMMUNITY LEAGUE players can play with their grade or age. For age, they must be the age indicated as of August 31, 2010. For travel, the player should register with their current grade unless they have a birthday that would move them up a grade, based on their age on the cut-off date. TRAVEL TEAM Birth cut-off dates for 10-15 ages and Senior Babe (17-18 ages) need to occur on or before April 30, 2008. Birth cut-off dates for 16-18 ages, Mickey Mantle and Legion, need to occur on or before December 31, 2007. The parents have the choice, but it is the recommendation of the Board that kids play with their grade if possible.
2. Base Fees: Includes a shirt and cap for all players. Pictures are not included.
3. Field Improvement Fee: A field improvement fee is included in the base fee. It is assessed to upgrade and maintain fields and for field maintenance equipment. In previous years, coupon books had been used to account for this fee. Kids ages 4-5, Rookie Camp, are not assessed this fee.
LATE REGISTRATION!
A $30 late fee will apply to all late registrations, starting March 1.
